There are numerous caves on the island of Mallorca. Some of them are rather small but there are as well big ones where you can enjoy even a boat ride inside the cave.
Just above the lovely port of Soller we discovered a very cosy but beautiful cave: Cova des Migdia. Our hike started at the restaurant at the viewpoint Mirador de ses Barques. Alongside of very old olive trees we followed the gravel road. The weather was amazing, beautiful conditions for a hike in the middle of January.
Today the trail was a very simple one and we didn’t have any difficulties following it. Once we started to ascend we found a breathtaking view of the port of Soller.
The cove was hidden but still next to the trail and so not really difficult to find. It had impressive formations of stalagmites and stalactites and the sunlight created a very interesting mood. Check it out…
